Getting Things In Order

Contributed by Milford Woods

Last week I decided that I need to take more control of my financial life. I spend money like water, and I have no savings. It’s crazy to think that my financial life is so out of order when I am single and make $80,000 per year. I have a lot of student loans, but I should still be managing my money well enough to have some money put aside and contribute to my retirement funds. My first order of business was to go through my monthly bills and see where I am overspending. I realized that my cable bill was high, and I don’t even have time to watch TV. I went to www.Cabletelevision.net to do some research on what I should do about that and found some good options. Then I reviewed all my bank statements to see where all my money is going, and I was shocked to see how much I am spending monthly on eating out. I think with some small changes I will see some big progress in the next few months. I can’t believe I waited this long to take charge!
